Happy New Year FitFamily!
In the fitness industry, this is one
of our favorite holidays. It marks new beginnings and new promises to be healthy. Most adults place value on
their health and strive for change in the new year; a goal we fight for the entire year at Texas Health and
Racquet Club.
Being surrounded by individuals trying to change for the better is electric. Myself
and my staff attempt to make our home gym feel that energy all year long, but our members bring that energy
naturally in January. Group fitness classes are full and there is motivation from another like minded
individual everywhere you turn.
It always saddens me to see so many of the “New Year” crowd drop
off before reaching their resolution. They have figured out what change they want to see but not on a plan
to achieve it. You have to focus on the small victories and creating the stability of lifestyle change to
keep that New Year energy all year. Changing your lifestyle is hard but not impossible.
Luckily, 2020
made all of us a little more patient and very adapt to change. In 2021, I invite you all to build the
stability to support any of the changes you want to see. I am not one of the cynics who does not believe in
New Year’s Resolutions. My staff and I set our goals every year, but we are more successful in succeeding
because we set them as a team with a plan. We focus on creating stability in our environments through a plan
to be able to take any of the struggles that come with change in stride.
Set a workout schedule and
stick to it. Make creating stability in your health a priority this year. Have a plan for your workouts.
Walking into the gym with a plan for the next few weeks will make you more successful. If you don’t know how
to set up a workout plan, talk to one of our trainers. Set attainable goals and share them with someone.
Surround yourself with people you are comfortable sharing your dreams with and who want to see you succeed.
If you don’t know how to take the next step, ask for help.
We have made it our careers at THRC to
help people with creating change. We want to see each of our members succeed this year and hope we are
offering you an environment to do so. Please make us a part of your 2021 and let us help you truly change
your life.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve you in 2021.
Yours in
health and happiness,
Randall Lavender
