"Bradley is an amazing personal trainer, that has been invaluable in navigating me even passed my
own personal goals"
Hey there! My name is Dipo Obadina.
I am a personal trainer, mobility coach, breath-work specialist, and ice bath enthusiast.
I graduated from Texas State with a Bachelor's of Exercise Sports Science.
I have over 7 years of personal training experience and love what I do.
Fitness, health and movement have been my passion since I was a child.
I've seen and helped clients make dramatic changes in their lives by investing in their fitness and health.
It's quite amazing! My training focuses on strength, mobility, stress management and weight loss.
I would love to help you on your journey, let me know when you're ready!
As I approached my 60th birthday, I found myself excusing many of my physical limitations (can’t squat in the garden, can’t reach the overhead rack in my closet, can’t tie my shoes without sitting down, and on and on) because of my age.
Read MoreYou ready to rock? What's up y'all, my name is Jake Woten. I have been a
Personal Trainer here at THRC for 5 years now! These past 5 years here have been LIFE CHANGING. Before my
THRC life I was a lifelong athlete. Playing baseball, basketball, wrestling at the high school level and
D1 football at Texas State University. That is what ignited this fitness journey for me. After the game of
football was over I was lost. A true love of mine was gone and I yearned to care for something as much as
I did that game. In steps Personal Training, at the greatest health club I have ever stepped foot in. That
was the day my true passion was revealed to me. Helping you understand that anything you want to achieve,
can and will be achieved, is what I am here for. If you are ever in doubt of that, come find me on the gym
floor and let me change your life the way THRC changed mine!
"I’ve gained 2.4 lbs of muscle and lost 1.7 lbs of body fat over the past 6 weeks. My lifts are improving, and my form is the best it’s ever been. My cardio is in a great place, my mile time is also the best it’s ever been in my life. While I put the work in, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my trainer, Jake. His programming has helped fix imbalances in my body that have plagued me since the beginning, and has been helping me crush these goals. Lovin this fitness life!"
Hello! My name is JD May; I've been a trainer at Texas Health and Racquet Club for 7+ years! I played college football at Sul Ross State University! I specialize in athletic development with a focus on speed and college/pro prep for athletes! I also have a passion for functional training and pain management/injury prevention. In my time at THRC, I've helped more than 80+ clients ranging from the ages of 7 years old to 84 years old! Whether it's getting in tip-top shape for summer or trying to stay healthy and able to perform daily tasks, I know together, we can get you to your fitness goals!
JD May was my trainer for about a year and a half.We met twice a week, and he had workouts ready for me.
One thing that I noticed right away was how thorough JD always was. We never wasted any time. JD knew
howto make every minute count, and he would make sure that I actually did the necessary number of
repetitions, and did them correctly (and yes, at times it *did* hurt, especially the leg presses). JD is
also very responsible: he really watched out for me, made sure all the workouts were safe, and gave advice
about food intake. He is one of the most organized and well-meaning people I met: he never canceled any
sessions, we were able to keep the schedule, and he was always very kind tome. Even if I messed up.
Having JD as my trainer changed my life: it meant the world to know that I am not alone in this
endeavor. A good trainer becomes your guide and your friend. I actually learned to enjoy exercising. Now
when I moved away, I still exercise because he helped me to develop a habit. I also remember his teaching
me about different muscle groups and how to exercise them best (and now I know where the triceps are, and
why it is important to exercise the back).
"I’ve been with THRC for 5 years now, and I’ve never enjoyed a gym more than this one! They are my family away from home. Someone always greets you at the door and makes you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. I worked with one of the trainers, JD May, and he continues to motivate me and cheer me on beyond our sessions together. I have never known a more motivated or encouraging trainer than JD. I will continue to be a member of THRC as long as I live in San Marcos!"
At 77 years old, this man amazes me with his work ethic and strength! The Marine in him really comes out when we get on the weights!" Bill is super-dedicated and comes to THRC almost every day to stay fit, and can would blow many 20 & 30 year-olds out of the water! Way to go Bill, we are so happy that you are part of our FitFam!
I have been a member at THRC for two years now, and I worked out with JD for a year. When I began doing training sessions at THRC, I only planned on it being a short-term, three-month program to help me gain some motivation to get back into the gym.
I am a trainer here at Texas Health and Racquet Club to help members reach their goals.
The love I have for the health and functional fitness is my primary drive! I am a proud believer in
integrating functional movement into all workouts. If one cannot move like a human was designed to move,
then any other movement attempted will be flawed. Being a trainer to me is much more than just helping
people reach their goals it is to build a relationship and help clients with their overall health.
Hello! My name is Michael, but most people around the gym call me Mikey. I’m a Personal

“Her goal is to put on weight and gain as much muscle as possible. In our first 2 months of training, Sarah has put on over 4 lbs of muscle and has lost 2% body fat. She is currently weighing the most she’s ever weighed and has increased her strength tremendously! Keep it up girl!”

Hi Everyone! My name is Paul Valdez and I recently graduated from Texas State University
with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Science. I’ve always been super passionate about sports
and fitness. I grew up playing little league baseball and flag football which translated into playing
numerous sports in high school football, basketball, baseball, soccer and track. I first became interested
in wanting to help train people when I tore both of my ACL’s in high school and went through the struggles
of not being able to do what I love. My goal as a trainer is to not only build a relationship with people
but also help them lead a healthier lifestyle while boosting their confidence.
“My client @jennaben23 is a beast! She comes in day in and day out ready to work and busts her! We’ve been working together since December, and have been working her off from Keto and tweaking her diet back to a more balanced approach. Looking forward to our continued success in the months to come!”
Paul inherited me as a client and we clicked immediately... He demonstrated to me his competence and knowledge of all things a personal trainer should be from the word go. I suffered some serious injuries and underwent surgery during this time and he didn't miss a beat...
Hello everyone, I am Gage. I recently graduated from Texas State University with an
Exercise and Sport Science degree with a concentration in Health and Fitness Management. Six years ago I

work, I hit my goal! Now, my goal is helping YOU reach YOUR goals! I work with all types of clients and
have a passion for helping individuals improve themselves both physically and mentally.
"For as long as I can remember, I havealways struggled with my weight. I have always been overweight. As I got olderI started trying different diets and weightloss programs. They would work forlike a month, then I would get bored and just give up. Then when I got out ofhigh school I started joining gyms. I'd go faithfully for like month thenslowly stop going and then just quit altogether. Finally something snapped in me and I was done...."
Hello everyone! My name is Elias Villalobos and I am an Elite Personal Trainer here at
THRC! I was born & raised right here in San Marcos, Texas, and I graduated from Texas State with a
Bachelor's degree in Health & Fitness Management. Since graduating, I received my personal
training certification through NASM. Along with personal training, some of my favorite things to do
include kayak fishing, playing sand volleyball, and bowling! My love for fitness grew when I began to
apply everything I learned in classes to my everyday life as well as my family's lives. All of our
results sparked my interest and love for fitness. I can't wait to continue spreading what i've
learned to clients and members to change as many lives as possible.
Time to invest in myself - overweight, high cholesterol, high liver enzymes, etc., etc… NO MORE! Best decision I’ve made in a long time was to invest in myself & get to work - after all, I must outlive my donkeys! I joined THRC in late March 2021 and Elias is my trainer - what can I say - not just the physical change I see and feel, but the mental change.
Read MoreI am currently working out with Camp Gladiator and I have signed up for Fitness Challenge which takes place in July 2020. After my two free sessions through THRC with Elias, I loved it. I told Elias my goal is to get stronger for the challenge. His knowledge regarding fitness is helping and motivating me. Elias pushed me slowly to do more and more to push myself to new limits.
Hey everyone, my name is Natalie Villalobos and I'm one of the personal trainers at THRC downtown!
I was born and raised here in San Marcos, Texas and graduated from Texas State University in 2019 with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science.
Some of my favorite things are fried pickles, Zach Bryan, my dogs, and my husband.
My passion for helping others in conjunction with loving health and fitness makes this job so rewarding.
I'm so excited to help build THRC into even more of a supportive, family-oriented, personable gym where you and your health matters.
I am dedicated to turning your goals into achievements and fitness into a lifestyle. Let's grow together!
I joined THRC Downtown not only to improve my health and appearance, but to gain better self-esteem.
After a few
sessions with Natalie V. I am feeling stronger physically and value the person I am, as well as who I'm
becoming. I
would recommend training with Natalie if you're like me and need that extra push to get going.
I joined THRC in mid March and it was honestly the best decision I had ever made. I wasn’t eating
properly and wanted to change that but didn’t know where to start and I had the time and commitment of
wanting to work out but felt so intimidated by the whole aspect of it.
For the longest time I was constantly going through phases of working out and trying to eat healthy. I
just could not stay committed. To be honest, I thought working out was boring and not for me. I got to the
point where all I did was complain about my unhealthy habits and realized how annoying I probably sounded
to everyone.
Hello! My name is Courtney Dillard. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer here at THRC.
I am currently pursuing a degree in Exercise and Sports Science at Texas State University. My drive for
being a personal trainer goes beyond helping people reach their goals. My passion is to guide them in
understanding their body, preventing injury and long term illness, and to simply enjoy living their life–
mentally and physically. Our bodies are beautiful creations that we tend to take advantage of and I want
nothing more than to share my knowledge with you, so if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. I
want nothing more than to help in any way I can.
How’s it going y’all? I’m Zane Zbranek (Zeh-bron-ick). Before venturing out into
personal training, I was a college basketball player. I played at Hardin-Simmons University and Texas
Wesleyan University. Unfortunately, due to a combination of COVID and some other unforeseen events, my
basketball career got cut short. My sport abruptly ending left me feeling lost and purposeless. The
situation forced me to adapt and work to find my true purpose in life. That purpose became helping people
both mentally and physically and it is truly what drives me everyday! Personal training has allowed me to
translate the hours that I was putting into basketball, to investing into others. I have extensive
experience with corrective exercise prescription as well as athletic development. Finding my purpose has
been one of the most painful but fulfilling experiences, and I would love to fulfill this purpose through
helping you achieve your goals.
Hello! My name is Natalie Ornelaz and you can find me at the downtown location. I moved
here from California in 2017 and I couldn’t be happier to call Texas my home! I recently graduated from
Texas State with a B.S. in Nutrition & Dietetics. I am so excited to have the opportunity to apply
what I learned to help you reach your goals. My top goals are to teach others to fuel their bodies instead
of depriving them, and show the joys/benefits of strength training. If I’m not working or lifting, you’ll
probably find me eating, walking my dog, or hanging with my THRC family.”
Hey y’all! My name is Garrett and I am a born and raised Texan and I take a great amount
of
pride in that! I have been very passionate about fitness since my first year of college. I showed up to
the
baseball field on my first day of practice weighing in at 135, my coach then told me I had to gain 20 lbs
before I was allowed to play. Oh man, I got that done quick! That gave me motivation to start working out
and
I fell in love with it. I strive to help everyone feel the way I do when I work out. Helping everyone
reach
their goals is my main focus. Let’s get it done!
Hello everyone my name is Connor. I am currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Exercise
and
Sports Science with a concentration in Physical Therapy from Texas State University. Ever since I was
born,
fitness and serving others has been a great passion of my life. I was blessed with the experience and

Hello! My name is Hayla Vest. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Science at UTSA, go Runners! I played soccer for 14 years and have always been passionate about fitness. In my freshman year of college I began to strength train and powerlift, which ultimately led to obtaining my certification. Being strong physically helped me mentally, and I am forever grateful that I discovered that early on. I want to help you become the best version of yourself and not only be there for you as your trainer, but as a friend too. Let’s get started!
I believe that fitness should be more than looking good in a swimsuit or fitting into a specific pair of jeans- although that is a bonus. Fitness should be away that we improve our lives! A motto I live by is if you chase health, then aesthetics follow. I help men & women get in shape by assisting them to become stronger, gain body confidence, and develop healthy habits without spending hours in the gym. I teach my clients the basics of building a solid metabolism through resistance training and proper nutrition. Reaching your fitness and health goal doesn't mean spending hours doing dreaded cardio or following restrictive diets, which lead to short-lived benefits. I want to give my clients the tools for success to achieve their goals while also living a life they love. If this message resonates with you, I'd love to meet you and discuss your goals!!
Hi! My name is Andrew Shinn, I am a San Marcos local born and raised. The gym had suddenly come into my life a few years ago when I was tired of being a skinny little kid and while the physical changes have been immense, they are unparalleled compared to the mental ones. From this my goal is to make as many people as I can feel as good and confident as I do. Let’s get to work!
Hello, my name is Ben Rihn. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I may look fit now but I have had my own personal challenges with weight loss and being over weight. It all started when I was 20 and decided to make a change. Through my weightless journey I found a love for fitness I did not know I had as well as the desire to help others meet their goals and live a healthier happier life.
Hello everyone! My name is Richard Ortiz, and I am a personal trainer here at THRC! I was raised in Orlando, FL but I left when I was 17 to join the Army. In the Army, my life revolved around physical fitness. I found a passion for improving my body so that I can perform at peak capacity. I moved here from Germany in 2017 and I couldn’t be happier to call Texas my home! I am currently going to school at ACC with the goal of transferring to Texas State where I will pursue a Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science / Pre-Rehabilitation degree. I once found myself in a place where I was depressed, unhappy, and unhealthy. I found that physical activity was a major catalyst to my therapy and recovery.
My passion for mental health, fitness and wellness grew after I trained with Courtney here at THRC. I discovered my calling! Now, my goal is helping others the same way that I was helped. Tactical and functional fitness is my jam! I can work with all types of clients; I have a passion for helping people improve themselves both physically and mentally. If you are a Veteran, a Guardsmen, a Reservist, a Cadet, or you wish to join a service or if you are a first responder, I am your guy! Choosing me as your personal trainer, means that as a team, we will create a specific plan of attack so that you know exactly what you need to do to reach your specific goals. I will give you everything I have so that you will reach your goals and become the person you want to be.
When I’m not working or training, you’ll find me walking my dogs, reading, hiking, spending time with my wife or hanging with my THRC family. When you see me around the gym, feel free to ask me any questions you have or just have a chat!
Hi everyone! My name is Sebastian Buitron, I am a personal trainer here at THRC Downtown. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Fitness Management. I got into fitness 10 years ago, when my parents were training for their first marathon which really inspired me. So when I turned 12, I asked for a half marathon registration for my birthday. A few years ago, my Dad was diagnosed with cancer, he was told if he hadn’t been in the shape he was in, he wouldn’t have made it. Since then, I have dived deep into fitness and am trying to do as much as possible to spread awareness about living a healthy lifestyle. After being motivated by my dad’s battle, I’ve completed many Half Marathons, two Full Marathons, and a Half Ironman. I have also competed in powerlifting, where I found a love for strength training. My goal is to inspire people to live a healthy lifestyle and be the best version of themselves.
Heyo! I am Gabby Marek, I grew up just up the road in Dripping Springs.
I had my first introduction to fitness growing uprunning track and wrestling.
Once my good friend took me to the gym right after the gyms opened back up from COVID, I was completely hooked.
I began working out with others and fell in love with seeing them gain confidence, self worth, and become their healthiest selves.
A lot of us get caught up with today’s “social standards” on how to look.
I’m here to break those down completely to achieve a well rounded and confident individual with a greater quality of life.
Let’s get to work!
Hi y’all!! Welcome to my happy place.
I love being active and working hard in all ways of life, particularly in fitness and sports.
I played beach and indoor volleyball for 12 years and have coached all age ranges for 5years;
it is truly one of my most ardent passions.
I also specialize in cardio boxing and kettlebell training, and have experience with Krav Maga and kickboxing!
These are exciting, empowering, and confidence-building activities I have loved integrating into my lifestyle
which also provide a one-of-a-kind exercise that is both fun and powerful.
I am thrilled to bring that to the table as a trainer by creating more avenues to keep fitness as exciting and freeing as it is!
I can’t wait to be alongside you in the steps you take to becoming the healthiest and truly happiest person you can be.
Thanks for stopping by! The game’s afoot!!

not only your life; but your mental health as well.
I believe that we should have strong bodies, minds, and relationships.

Hello everyone! My name is Miles and I am a personal trainer here at THRC!
I specialize in a holistic approach to health and wellness with an emphasis on strength and conditioning.
I started my fitness journey 7 years ago, and lost over 70 pounds!
Through the years I've had my own share of physical setbacks.
I had a major shoulder surgery in 2020 and spent countless hours in physical therapy.
This taught me the value of movement and how we can get back to doing what we love!
I hope to use my personal experience to improve your health in every way possible!

I am originally from Bay City, Texas but I moved to this area to pursue a higher education and play collegiate football.
I grew up in a super competitive and athletic household with a background in football, basketball, and track and field.
My official journey started during college football because I was underweight.
After seeing progress from training I wanted to share how I felt in that moment with others.
My goal now is to promote health, wellness, and knowledge about fitness and nutrition and further my education in the process.
Hey ya’ll, my name is Dylan Rayner, a dedicated personal trainer here at THRC!
I am currently pursuing a degree in Exercise and Sports Science (Pre-rehabilitation Sciences concentration) at Texas State University.
My journey in fitness stems from a lifelong passion for health and wellness, fostered by my upbringing immersed in athletics.
From a young age I was drawn to the power of physical activity, which led me to embrace various sports and disciplines.
Through these experiences and great coaching, I've learned invaluable lessons about the impact of exercise on both the mind and body.
My mission as a personal trainer is empowering individuals to unlock their full potential.
I believe that optimal health is not only about physical strength or outward appearance, but being mobile in all aspects of life.
By sharing my knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm, I strive to inspire positive lifestyle change that extends far beyond the gym.
Hi everyone, my name is Brittany Bethany!
I graduated from Texas A&M University San Antonio with a bachelor's in Kinesiology and a minor in Exercise and Sports Science.
I’ve always been passionate about sport and fitness but my love for training began while playing collegiate basketball my freshman year.
My goal is to educate you so that once you leave our session you know exactly why we did everything that we did and why we did it a certain way for YOU.
I want my clients to be able to learn something new about themselves with each session.
Sometimes it’s learning they’re more capable than they thought, other times it’s discovering a new area to improve on.
Hey everyone! My name is Bekah, and I am so excited to help change lives as a trainer here at THRC!
I am currently in my last year at Texas State, pursuing a degree in Health and Fitness Management.
Growing up, I was always involved in sports, whether it be swimming, softball, basketball, or volleyball.
However, my fitness journey and love for lifting didn’t come to life until after my volleyball career ended, and I wanted to continue to stay in shape.
Now, I have been consistently lifting and weight training for the last 5 years,
and it has truly changed my life for the better, and I strive to give others the same benefits.
My mission as a trainer is to bring people confidence in the gym and in themselves,
and the ability to unlock the best version of themselves both physically and mentally.
Health extends far beyond the gym, and I want to help people start the small changes that lead to a healthier, happier, more fulfilling lifestyle.
Hi everyone! My name is Aidan Gonzales! I graduated from Texas State with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science and a minor in Business!
Growing up, I have always been passionate about physical activity and challenging myself through sports like cross country, soccer, as well as wrestling.
Once my high school career was over, I got involved in resistance training and fell in love with how much of a great social outlet
as well as a stress reliever it became in my life. A new passion of mine I have picked up in the last year is long-distance running.
Combining the two has challenged me in new areas and allowed me to make the most progress in my fitness journey.
I'm very high energy and love being social with anyone I come around!

My goal as a trainer is to build healthy relationships where I can share my knowledge of health and fitness while helping them become the strongest and healthiest version of themselves! Let’s get started!

I plan on continuing my education into the Masters program to work towards officially becoming a Dietician. I've done bodybuilding competitively and wish to apply my knowledge from that arena, combined with my higher education, to help you achieve your goals. I love to cook and bake, and I hope to show others that moving and fueling your body is important for any and all goals you hope to reach. My main objective is to have you leaving the gym feeling more confident in yourself. Every day is an opportunity, so let's make today count!
What’s up, y’all! My name is Peter. I am originally from Ecuador but grew up in New Orleans, LA. I recently moved to San Marcos to attend Texas State for Exercise and Sports Science with the ultimate goal of becoming a Physical Therapist, as well as serve as an Army Reservist. Fitness has played a huge role in my life, transforming not only my physical but my mental health as well. I am so excited to get the opportunity to be part of such an incredible gym and get the chance to transform lives. I have been a Certified Personal Trainer for over 2 years and recently obtained my Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification. I love training with kettlebells (you’ll see me at McCarty on Mondays at noon leading Kettlebell Club!), both calisthenics and weight training, rock climbing, boxing, and I love training runners! Catch me at THRC Downtown, say hi and if you need any help, I’m your guy.
My name is Logan and I’ve gotten a chance to meet most of our members at the front desk, but I can’t wait to get to know some of our members as a personal trainer! My fitness journey started when I decided I was going to lose some weight and the “how to get abs in 10 minutes” videos weren’t going to cut it anymore. I slowly fell in love with fitness at a bodybuilding gym in my hometown, Cypress TX.I specialize in bodybuilding-focused training and I love the old-school grit that still permeates into modern gym culture. As a personal trainer, I’m hoping to give tools to my clients that aren’t centered on temporary progress metrics, but instead provide useful guidance that can be used to change the lives of not only my clients but their families as well. With my Bachelor's of Exercise & Sports Science concluding in December 2024, I plan on devoting my skills to anyone looking to get in shape or get ready to step on stage for the first time.
Hey everybody! I am Kenton but the trainers have given me the nickname “K” already
around the club. I recently graduated Texas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and
Sports Science and about to complete my Masters in Strength and Conditioning. Since I have been able to
walk, I have been active which led to me playing sports and finding ways to stay active constantly. I
played football, basketball, powerlifted, and ran track throughout high school. I suffered a major knee
injury my Senior year and that is what lit my fire even more for a healthy lifestyle and fitness not only
for myself but to be able to help others start or continue their journey when I came to college. As a
trainer I want to be a positive impact on people’s lives and be their support system to a healthier
lifestyle through the relationship we build with each other.
Hey!
My name is Rachel and I graduated from Sul Ross University with a Bachelor’s in
Kinesiology. I am currently working on my Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and I am eager to teach back
what I am learning! I used to work in family practice where I saw many patients come in with chronic
diseases that could have been easily prevented with exercise and a healthy diet. I am excited to teach you
how to invest in yourself to prevent these long-term illnesses for a longer, fuller, and healthier
lifestyle!
Hello! My name is Kiersten Castro and I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer at THRC.
Along with health and fitness, some of my favorite things are being outdoors, traveling, and playing with
my dog. My passion for health and fitness grew from my own experience of how a healthy lifestyle can
change your entire life for the better. My goal as a personal trainer is to build relationships where I
can share my knowledge and guide individuals through their health and fitness journey, ultimately changing
their life, both physically and mentally, for the better. Let’s get started and thrive together!
